This method resembles applying an electroplated finishto the steel surface. In an electrolytic cell, the steel plate serves as the cathode while zinc plates act as the anode. When current is applied, zinc ions migrate directionally toward the steel surface under the electric field, reducing and depositing to form a zinc layer. The entire process occurs at room temperature or low temperatures.

- Product Characteristics: Features a uniform, fine coating with a smooth, flat surface, facilitating subsequent finishing processes like color coating or spraying. Coating thickness can be precisely controlled and is typically thinner than hot-dip galvanized layers.
